Today came the mailer from the Democratic Central Committee.  There is the same picture of the hippyish Baumgartner flashing his peace sign.  The text says we don't know him and asks why he is running.  Well, I wonder if anyone asked him.  I wonder why anyone would run, maybe they are a bit nutty, maybe they want to make a difference, maybe they want to push their own ideals on the rest of us, maybe they just care?  If he gives me the chance, I'll ask him.

Then there is Baumgartner's flier that refers to his "service in Iraq and Afghanistan" - he was not in the military.  Deceptive?  You tell me.
